Crush 3v3 D - League
D-League's mission is to instill fundamentally sound basketball skills into your developing player. This could be their first time ever touching a basketball or just another skill enhancement opportunity. Around The Crush Family you will hear the question " What does it take?" The response is always "HARD WORK!"
During our D-League, 1st-5th grade will have a 6 week (2 sessions per week) journey where we will work hard at developing ball handling(offensive) skills first, followed by moving with the ball. Followed by defensive principles and movement. While scoring is important, that is not our focus in these classes. We do have shooting drills in every session. Scoring is just not our main focus at this level. The session also incorporates some 3 v 3 to get used to how the game flows and to put into practice the skills we are working hard to develop.
During our D-League, 6th-8th grade will have a 6 week(2 sessions per week) journey, where we will work hard at developing ball handling(offensive) skills first, followed by moving with the ball. Then focusing on defensive principles and movement. At this level we incorporate more shooting and finishing drills. As well as solid help defense and lots of Conditioning. It is our belief mental toughness is the most important skill we can learn.
Conditioning creates a never quit mentality. In these sessions you will see multiple training aids to work on finishing over the competition and finish through contact. These sessions are limited to 24 per court per session. We will play 3 v 3 and 5 v 5 to use the skills we have been practicing.
These sessions DO NOT focus on X's and O's
